General rules
Before partaking in the compo we would like to ask you to read the general rule book first. You can find them on the website and it will apply to all compo’s that are being organized.
Registration:
A group of 5 participants of the 666-lan will be able to compete in the competition by registering on the competition page. You will have to fill out a team name, the steam usernames of your 5 players, their seats and the average matchmaking rank of your team. These teams will be added to the participants at the bracket site, brackets and results will be updated in real-time. All teams must be registered before friday 21:00h!
Stand-ins:
Every team is allowed one stand-in per game. So 4 out of your 5 players must have been registered. Note: as soon as the first knife round has started, you will play with the players that are on the server at that moment. This means that it’s not allowed to change players during the game. In a BO3 it isn’t allowed to switch players in between the different maps either.
Format:
<= 7 teams: The teams will play in one big group where every team plays a BO3 against every other team. A ranking will be made based upon the amount of wins. The first 2 teams will play the final on stage. If the 3rd and 4th place are tied then a decider match will be played.
From 8 to 10 teams: The teams will be divided into 2 groups where every team plays a BO1 against every other team. The best 2 teams from every group will go through to the knock-out phase. This stage will be single elimination with a losers final to determine the 3rd place. The teams that didn’t make it through will get a chance to compete further in the cs:go fun compo (if enough teams participate). If 4 teams register then the fun compo will also be single elimination, from 5 teams the format will be double-elimination. In the knock-out phase and fun compo all games will be BO3.
> 10 teams: The teams will be divided into groups of about 4 players where every team plays a BO1 against every other team. The teams that didn’t make it through will get a chance to compete further in the cs:go fun compo (if enough teams participate). If 4 teams register then the fun compo will also be single elimination, from 5 teams the format will be double-elimination. In the knock-out phase and fun compo all games will be BO3.
Overtime:
If a game end in a tie, an extra 6 rounds will be played. The team that closes out these extra rounds with 2 rounds difference wins. If there’s a tie again, another 6 extra rounds will be played. This will go on until a team closes out overtime with 2 rounds difference.
In overtime the players of both teams start with 10000 dollars.
Map pool:
The map pool consists of the 7 active duty maps at the time that the compo is announced. These are: de_mirage, de_inferno, de_anubis, de_vertigo, de_overpass, de_nuke, de_ancient.
Map veto’s:
Before the start of the game, the team representatives will determine which map(s) will be played with a map veto in discord. The team that is listed first on the “matches” page of the Toornament bracket site may start the veto.
For BO1: team 1 ban, team 2 ban, team 1 ban, team 2 ban, team 1 ban, team 2 pick.
For BO3: team 1 ban, team 2 ban, team 1 pick, team 2 pick, team 1 ban, team 2 pick.
In a BO1, at the start of each map a knife round will be held to determine which team will start as T or CT. The team that wins the knife round may choose what side they start out on. In a BO3, the team that did not start the veto (team 2), gets to choose the side on the map pick of the other team (team 1). Then team 1 picks the side team 2’s pick. Team 2 chooses the side on the leftover map.
